Self-control apps are easy to skip.
A blocker you set up alone is one tap from off. A station on the wall ties focus to a place, and makes starting it a ritual.
Tap in. Lock in.
QuietMinds puts a tap-to-focus station in gyms, libraries, classrooms, theaters and cafés. One tap locks the apps that pull you away, in the venue’s own design, until you tap out.
Taps and focus hours are live from BuckBlock’s anonymous usage counter.
The problem
A blocker you set up alone is one tap from off. A station on the wall ties focus to a place, and makes starting it a ritual.
Gyms, classrooms, theaters and cafés all compete with the phone in your pocket for the experience they’re built around.
Pouches and confiscation need staff and feel like punishment. A tap is the visitor’s own choice and takes a second.
How it works
Hold your phone to the venue’s station. The app opens straight to the session picker.
Thirty minutes to two hours, a custom length, or until you tap out.
The apps you chose stay blocked until time is up or you tap the station again.
Blocking runs on the phone itself, through Apple’s Screen Time on iPhone and Android’s accessibility service. Which apps someone opens never leaves their device.
The platform
Every station tells the app where you are. Tap in on a campus and you get its focus app; tap in at a gym or café and the app takes on theirs. Venues get a branded focus experience without building an app. People keep one app for every place.

Station-based theming is built and in testing. Café and gym designs are illustrative concepts.
